About us
A non-profit built on the belief that Langkloof's people deserve a fair share of the wealth their labour creates.
Sarah Baartman Development Center NPC (Registration No. 2026/486128/08) was founded to respond to a painful contradiction: Langkloof sits inside one of South Africa's most productive export agriculture regions — a billion-dollar industry — while the majority Black and Coloured community that has worked this land for generations remains trapped in poverty.
We are a non-profit focused on community business development and humanitarian support, built on the belief that lasting change comes not from handouts, but from equipping people with the tools, land access, education and skills to build their own economic futures.
Our mission
To drive socio-economic transformation in Langkloof through food security, education and enterprise development — with a focused commitment to uplifting Black and Coloured communities historically excluded from the region's prosperity.
Our vision
A Langkloof where every family has enough to eat, every child can read and learn, and every community member has the skills and opportunity to build a sustainable livelihood.
